The Fray Milwaukee Concert reviews
A Las Vegas native in the South
Here is a rearranged version of the review with a few words switched:
A true Las Vegas shepherdess, this writer is a native born Thunderbird (Nellis AFB). The Birmingham Jefferson Civic Center was relevant to hold this event; however, The Fray's show was deafening at times and the bass was distorted due to the sound system. Several front-facing mega jumbo tele-trons were available for fans to view the center stage. There were no "incidents" of which this writer is aware.
Here are a few things that may turn the average Southerner off with this whole concept:
1. The first songs are from the new album, and her PR Team did not come out to scan the crowd to determine her target market for the opening act. Let's say, the music is good, but not for THIS audience.
2. All the wardrobe changes were unnecessary; the target audience didn't care for all of that. Pull up a stool and sing. Know your crowd.
3. Whoever stuck that long ponytail on her head almost dragging the ground, she needed to fire them. This stage and what she attempted to accomplish were not set up for such a hairstyle, and it almost got her snatched up several times.
4. Whoever set up her arrangements forgot to include a monitor for her. Most artists like to make sure they are in sync... let's just say, for some of her faster-paced songs, her pantomiming may have not been in sync, but she played it like I sang that, the song is delayed.
5. To bring it home - she gave a Vegas style show instead of a location-by-location show. It felt impersonal and thrown together, but she did give an all-around good show never will take that from her.
